TechTraction’s Friday Finds for 07/13/07: Change Your WordPress Login Screen

Tired of the same old blue login box for your WordPress powered site? Fear not for with a little graphics work you can give your site a custom login screen. You can find the complete “how-to” instructions at David Airey’s Creative Design blog. The instructions are so simple that I won’t go into them in this post. However, to read the “how-to” and see a great example of what is possible, make sure to read David’s post. As for myself, notice the “before -after-after” image below. I changed the login screen for TechTraction and for my kid’s blog (sistersinblog.com).

  1. Nice work, Bret. ;)

Glad it was of use to you, and thanks for the mention.

  2. Thanks for the positive feedback, and the inspirational post. I know my previous URL to the finished product returned a 404 error but hopefully the above combined screen shot makes up for the mistake. Thanks David.

  3. This idea seems cool. I will also change my login page to something I like. Hmm…. I think not far from now, we can even self-customize the admin panel too! :)

  4. Updating the login image was surprisingly easy. If you have even the slightest Photoshop skills I highly recommend giving it a try. Thanks for the comment.
