Friday Finds for 01/11/2007: Web Development Bookmarks
I was doing some automated web page retrieval work and needed to look inside the javascript on the page I was trying to retrieve. Since the javascript was referenced in an external file, it wasn’t easily seen when I examined the HTML page source. I installed an extension for FireFox but it started to make my browser hang. I disabled the extension and looked for a different option. What I found was simply amazing: Web Development Bookmarks.
There are 23 very helpful scripts (some more than others) that you can drag to your browser’s toolbar so you can use them on any page you want. The “View Script” script was just what I wanted. I dragged it to my toolbar, opened the page I was interested in, clicked the “View Script” button and instantly I got another page showing all of the javascript code I previously could not see. Simple amazing.
