Friday Finds for 06/06/2008: Inspirational Interview with Owner of ICanHasCheezburger
Attention everyone that is thinking about starting an independent career project. You know who you are. You’re someone with a good idea to make a little extra money or someone with an idea so great that it could one day help you break free from — “The Man“. The only thing holding you back is knowing whether you idea is “good enough.”
If you can identify with what I’m writing, then you have to watch this short 4.5 minute interview with the creator of ICanHasCheezburger. His advice about getting started is so simple but so easily overlooked. I’ve included the direct link below and have embedded the video for all to see. It requires Microsoft’s SilverLight to view but the download is quick and the installation is painless. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work at this moment with FireFox 3 RC1 so you’ll need to use Internet Explorer or try it with FireFox 2 (not sure if that will work or not).

I have had a couple of ideas floating around in ny head now for a bit. The problem of course is they are a little more advanced than anything I have done in the past. “Getting started” is a really big issue and some simple ideas to get me going are definitily needed.
Yes, getting started is often the hardest part of any project. Hope you found the interview inspirational.
