Seeking Solid State MP3 Player Suggestions
I apologize for this usual TechTraction post, but I wanted to get some MP3 recommendations my readers. Seems that over the weekend my brother’s Creative Zen Micro MP3 player died. It appears that using while he exercised was more than it’s little internal hard drive could handle. He’s now in the market for a new MP3 player. He’s open to just about anything; however, he needs to have approximately 4 GB of “solid state” storage (because he plans to use while exercises), and be able to play his WMA formatted music. Personal recommendations are ideal so by all means please let me know what you would recommend as a replacement for his Zen Micro.

If the WMA’s are non DRM’d - go with the iPod Nano.
Thanks for the feedback Mark. My brother decided to go with the iPod Nano as suggested. He just picked up a refurbished 4 GB for $99. Not bad.
Thanks for stopping by.
Loving my refurb iPod Nano. It plays nicely through the accessories jack on my new Toyota RAV4 with JBL sound system. It’s compact size and light weight will make it almost unnoticeable on my arm while cycling. It’s flash memory also takes the storage drive crash possibility out of the equation, which is what ended the life on my Zen Micro.
Okay folks, crisis solved. As you can read above my brother settled on the iPod 4 GB Nano. And the refurbished price of $99 made it quite the deal.
