After reading your article, I followed some of the links and eventually decided to try YouTube Download Convert from CubedLabs. It’s freeware that has been certified free of spyware. Installation was easy; no annoying pop-ups or spyware detected to date. Lots of media “convert to” formats available with this app. I tried it on a music video clip saving it to MP4 for my Nano and it worked like a charm. Excellent video and audio quality and everything was sync’d. I can highly recommend it.
